French Culture & Language Tours

"Parlez-vous français?"

Your students will answer "oui" with assurance after an exciting trip to French Canada and the opportunity to use their French language skills.

In the shadow of the Chateau Frontenac, the streets of Vieux Quebec echo with the lively inflections of the spoken language. Your guide will familiarize you with the history of the region, while you experience its culture with tour stops that may include a breadoven, woodcrafter's studio or copper studio. Marvel at the natural wonder of Montmorency Falls and the man-made beauty of the Basilica of Ste. Anne de Beaupre. Later, visit a Sugar Shack for an authentic Quebecois meal and traditional entertainment and folk songs, along with an introduction to maple sugaring.

The cosmopolitan city of Montreal delights the visitor with its blend of old and new, appealing to a variety of tastes in its architecture, fashion and cuisine. "Le Festin du Gouverneur" recreates a 17th century feast in the 19th century Fort St. Helene, built upon orders from Napoleon's nemesis, the Duke of Wellington, while a funicular ride in the Olympic Tower, tallest inclined tower in the world, provides breathtaking views of the city and surrounding areas. Scavenger hunts in Vieux Port and tours conducted by historical characters make for a memorable visit.
